Funding through the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers. It means you get to make decisions about your supports and who you would like to deliver them.

You can use your NDIS funding to pay for CPL services. To find out if you're eligible for NDIS funding, you can check out the information in the NDIS section of our website or read the links below.

Direct payment and private health care

If you are not eligible for NDIS funding, or wish to access a service or support that's not covered in your plan, you can pay for CPL's services directly with cash, debit or credit card. We have HICAPS machines available at all locations to process a claim from your private health insurer. If you wish to use BPay, you will be issued with an invoice on the day of the appointment.

Self-directed support with Your Life Your Choice funding

If you have the Queensland Government's Your Life Your Choice individualised funding, you can use this funding to pay for CPL services.

Helping Children with Autism (HCWA)

This is an Australian Government initiative providing support for children aged 0 - 6 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), their families and carers. The service covers a range of funding, including therapies.

Queensland Government funding

The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services can provide funding for people with disabilities across Queensland, depending upon eligibility. This funding will be replaced by NDIS funding in Queensland when it rolls out across the state.

Better Start Federal Government Funding (children aged 0-7)

The Federal Government's Better Start for Children with Disability initiative offers children therapy services to help them reach their potential. Your child must be registered before they turn 6. This funding will be replaced by NDIS funding in Queensland when it rolls out across the state. Once your NDIS funding is live you will no longer be eligible for Better Start funding.

Medicare Better Start (children aged 7-13)

The Better Start for Children with Disability initiative offers children with an eligible diagnosis access to Medicare items at any time up to the age of 15, provided the new treatment and management plan is in place before your child turns 13. This funding will be replaced by NDIS funding in Queensland when it rolls out across the state.

CDMP (Chronic Disease Management Plan)

The Chronic Disease Management Plan offers people with a chronic medical condition access to Medicare benefits to cover allied health services, which help manage their condition.
