Open up to Opportunity
Disability Action Week’s big focus is around more diversity and people with disabilities in the workforce. By being more inclusive has a mutual benefit for the individuals, the business and the community.
More than one million Australians living with a disability are working across all sectors. But there are still major barriers to entry that we are working to break down to allow all workforces to employ a diverse range of people, and for those people to be able to reach their full potential.
Finding the Opportunities
For those living with a disability who are trying to get into the workforce, there are heaps of resources that you can use to help!
Our employment service, Mylestones, works to get more and more people with disabilities into the workplace, and can make you aware of any resources or assistance that may be available to you!
Benefits to Diversity
Having a diverse workforce unlocks a whole new world of innovation and insight. This can lead to more and better innovation, and more creative ideas.
All people are looking to work with companies that align with their values and offer them a positive workplace culture. By being inclusive and open-minded you are creating a more positive and productive business.
