On 3 February, the Minister for the NDIS announced more flexibility for NDIS participants to access transport funding from their plans.
Following this announcement, the NDIS released a new price guide on Monday 24 February reflecting the changes. CPL is currently reviewing the changes to ensure we understand the implications to people currently being transported by CPL and the circumstances under which transport costs can be claimed against a person’s core supports.
Once we have completed this review, we will be in touch to discuss how this change will affect you if you currently are charged a zone rate or per-kilometre rate by CPL.
The timing of the announcement by the Minister coincides with CPL commencing a review of how we support people to access transport within their community. Accordingly, over the next couple of months, we will be continuing to review and make changes to the internal policies, procedures and requirements for the small number of CPL clients who are driven to community activities by CPL support workers.
We will be in touch with you when this review is complete as well.
As with everything we do, our focus is on delivering a high quality service and keeping our clients safe.
