In March, the Board of Inclusion Works! voted on a resolution to dissolve the organisation and gift all assets to CPL – Choice, Passion, Life.
The decision was made after careful consideration by the Board about the future of Inclusion Works! and how to ensure children with disabilities could continue to access educational resources.
CPL Chief Executive Officer Rhys Kennedy said the organisation is proud to carry on the legacy of Inclusion Works!.
“Over the past 43 years, Inclusion Works! has delivered a vital service to the people of Queensland, which is why CPL is committed to ensuring teachers, schools, kindergartens, and families can continue to access the resources of the library to help them overcome barriers to early childhood development,” he said.
Inclusion Works!’s Chief Executive Officer, Jo Thornton said the Board chose CPL because the organisations shared a vision for an inclusive society.
“CPL’s values aligned perfectly with ours and were able to provide certainty for our members, stakeholders, and the Library. We trust CPL will carry the legacy of Inclusion Works! proudly into the future,” she said.
This transition is currently underway and will be completed by mid-June. The Library will remain at Yeronga and will be rebranded to reflect this transition.
