Individual social support
CPL offer a range of tailored social support activities that are individualised and lifestyle orientated, and designed to promote socialisation and healthy ageing. This could be as simple as a regular visit from a CPL support worker to chat over a cup of tea. Maybe you need a little assistance to get to the shops, or help using technology? Whatever you want to do in your community, CPL are here to help you achieve it.
Group social support
Maintain an active social life by engaging in CPL’s organised community activities. Our Aged Care social groups meet regularly, visiting sites and events in the community such as parks, galleries, and shows. Make new friends in your area by joining our group for morning tea at a local café, or lunch at a local restaurant. Our groups also cater for those wanting to keep up their physical activity, with regular walking, fishing and exercise sessions. For those who are creative, or would like to discover their creative side, our craft groups offer a social and friendly place to do crochet, scrapbooking, painting and much more!
Centre based day respite
CPL’s centre based Aged Care services offer structured group activities like art therapy or gardening, in a centre based setting, providing the opportunity to talk and interact with other people. Other services can include excursions, meal services and access to Allied Health.
Provided during the day, CPL offers centre based respite to support the intellectual well-being of people of all ages and abilities, reducing social isolation through group activities that foster friendships. Morning tea and/or lunch is provided.
Transport
CPL understand that as we age, getting to medical appointments, going shopping, participating in social activities or simply visiting friends and family in neighbouring suburbs becomes increasingly difficult. We offer assistance with transport to ensure that you stay connected with your community, family and friends. Our service is door to door and you can book in advance so you don’t miss that important appointment, or special family celebration.
